After crossing the Cross Bronx Expressway (I-95), the Hutchinson Parkway becomes I-678. Exit 18 is for Ferry Point Park and Lafayette Avenue.

On the Queens side of the bridge, I-678 is called the Whitestone Expressway. Exit 17 is for 14 Avenue. Exit 16 is for the Cross Island Parkway south.

From this point on, I-678 is known as the Van Wyck Expressway. Exits 12A-B are for College Point Boulevard and the Long Island Expressway (I-495).

Construction work is in progress in this area to rebuild the Kew Gardens Interchange. Exit 8, which is for Queens Boulevard (NY 25) west, is currently closed. Exit 7 is for Union Turnpike west and the Jackie Robinson Parkway west.
