This welcome sign for Jones Beach State Park was found at the beginning of the Ocean Parkway. It was removed when a monument welcoming visitors to the park was erected when the fee booths used to stand on the Meadowbrook Parkway.

When the fee booths were taken out of service, this sign was modified to instruct motorists to purchase their vehicle use fee tickets at the parking fields instead of at the West Bath House.

This sign used to mark the traffic circle interchange with the Wantagh Parkway on the eastbound Ocean Parkway. It has been replaced with a new sign that provides more detailed information.

These pictures show the Ocean Parkway approaching the obelisk before work was done to rehabilitate it. The top, which is made of copper, appeared green at the time due to oxidation, similar to the Statue of Liberty. It has been replaced and, at least for now, has its original copper color again.

These signs using all-capital lettering were found on the Ocean Parkway. They were all replaced with new signs using mixed-case lettering by 2020.
