CR 50 is an east/west route running parallel to and just north of Montauk Highway (NY 27A) from Babylon to East Islip. The first section, Park Avenue, extends just short of a mile between Little East Neck Road (NY 109) and Deer Park Avenue. Traffic following CR 50 turns north onto Deer Park Avenue for one very short block and then east onto Simon Street, which curves to the south and crosses the railroad tracks. On the other side of the tracks, CR 50 turns east again onto John Street. After a short distance, there is a partial interchange with the Babylon-Northport Expressway (NY 231). Just beyond it, John Street enters the Town of Islip and changes names to become Union Boulevard. It continues east to eventually end at Montauk Highway (NY 27A) where it curves north in East Islip.
