ME 5 is a north/south route through the western portion of Maine. It begins at ME 9 along the waterfront in Old Orchard Beach and runs north to Elm Street (ME 120) in Andover, a few miles north of US 2. There is no direct interchange where it crosses the Maine Turnpike (I-95), but a connection is provided through I-195.
