NJ 10 is an east/west route in Morris and Essex counties. It splits off from US 46 in Roxbury and is a four-lane divided highway with jughandles for most of its length. In Livingston, there is a traffic circle at the beginning of Northfield Avenue (CR 508). East of the circle, NJ 10 is a four-lane undivided road known as Mount Pleasant Avenue. In West Orange, the state route designation ends. Mount Pleasant Avenue becomes the southbound side of CR 577, while the northbound side turns onto Prospect Avenue, which is designated Spur CR 577 to the south.
