NJ 140 is the designation for the portion of Hawks Bridge Road in Carneys Point Township that connects the southernmost exit of the New Jersey Turnpike (NJ 700) where it splits from US 40 to Shell Road (US 130). It is a very short route, less than a mile long, and is a two-lane undivided road. Hawks Bridge Road extends south of the turnpike NJ 45 near Salem. The portion south of the turnpike is designated CR 540.
