Northbound Views
The northbound lanes of Broadway begin at Columbus Circle. Broadway runs north through the Upper West Side as a four-lane divided highway. There are oversized street name signs at each block. At West 65 Street, Broadway crosses Columbus Avenue, which is a southbound one-way street, so no turns are allowed when going in this direction.

The northbound lanes of Broadway merge into Amsterdam Avenue at West 71 Street. Motorists following Broadway must take Amsterdam Avenue north for a few blocks and then cut west for one block. The signs advise using West 75 Street, although the northbound lanes begin at West 73 Street, which is used by the M104 bus.

The northbound lanes begin again at West 73 Street. Broadway continues north through the Upper West Side. There are traffic lights with oversized street name signs at each block, including at West 79 Street, West 86 Street, and West 96 Street.
