Richmond Terrace is the northernmost east/west route on Staten Island. It runs along the Kill Van Kull, the strait separating Staten Island from Bayonne, New Jersey. It extends from Western Avenue near the Arthur Kill to the terminal of the Staten Island Ferry in St. George, where it curves to the south and changes names to become Bay Street. In most areas, Richmond Terrace is a two-lane undivided road, although it has four lanes and a divider in the area near the ferry terminal.
