Westbound Truck Route Views
On the Queens side of the RFK Bridge, tall trucks are forced to exit onto Astoria Boulevard, which is designated Truck I-278. There is a traffic light at 31 Street, which has the elevated subway tracks of the N and Q lines over it.

There is an entrance to the Grand Central Parkway, which serves as the mainline of I-278 between here and the beginning of the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway.

Astoria Boulevard continues to the east. There is a traffic light with an oversized street name sign at Steinway Street. The road passes under the Amtrak railroad tracks leading to the Hell Gate Bridge.

The road splits, and the truck route ends. Bear right to return to I-278. Bear left to stay on Astoria Boulevard.
