While its name may make it sound like a miniature road on which little kids can drive their toy cars, Playland Parkway is an actual highway in Westchester County. It serves to provide access to Playland Park from the New England Thruway (I-95). It is a four-lane road, undivided in most places, with a combination of grade-separated interchanges and traffic lights. Playland Parkway differs from most parkways in New York in that it is under the jurisdiction of the county rather than the state.
