NY 112 is a major north/south route crossing Long Island in central Suffolk. It begins at Main Street in Patchogue and extends north to NY 25A in Port Jefferson. The entire length is a two- to four-lane road with traffic lights. While Main Street in Patchogue is currently a village road, it was part of NY 27A until 1972, making the southern terminus of NY 112 originally at another state route.
