North Conduit Avenue pulls away from the Belt Parkway. In this area, North Conduit Avenue and South Conduit Avenue were built as the service roads for the Bushwick Expressway, an unbuilt highway that would have extended from here to the Williamsburg Bridge and been part of I-78. There is a large grass median where the expressway would have been.

The roadway splits. Bear left for Linden Boulevard to stay on NY 27. Bear right for Conduit Boulevard, which leads to Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn. There is no signage for NY 27 at this intersection, so you need to know where you're going in order to follow it.
