Welcome to New York and to Rockland County! Kinderkamack Road (CR 503) becomes South Pearl Street at the state line. The road widens to four lanes just north of the border.

South Pearl Street intersects Central Avenue (CR 33) at a traffic light. Turn right to go north.

There is a traffic light at West Washington Avenue (CR 30). Turn left to go west.

NY 304 becomes a short expressway through Pearl River and Nanuet. There are exits for Crooked Hill Road and Middletown Road (CR 33).

Skipping a few miles to the north, there is a pair of exits for NY 59.

The expressway portion ends. NY 304 runs north through Bardonia as a four-lane undivided road with traffic lights.
