Old Route 17

Old Route 17 changes designation from CR 179A to CR 179 at its intersection with Rockland Road (NY 206/CR 91). It is multiplexed with NY 206 for a short distance in Roscoe to its eastern terminus at an interchange with the Quickway (NY 17/Future I-86).
Old Route 17 runs east through the mountains as a two-lane undivided road.

Old Route 17 passes under the Quickway (NY 17/Future I-86), but there is no interchange. It changes designation here to become CR 178.
