PA 263 is a north/south route through the area north of Philadelphia. It begins at PA 611 in Willow Grove, just south of the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-276). The first section is known as York Road. It crosses the turnpike with no interchange and runs north to Doylestown, where it merges with US 202. The two routes are multiplexed for a couple of miles. Then, PA 263 splits off onto Upper York Road, which runs northeast to the Delaware River. It ends at the Centre Bridge, which crosses the river to New Jersey. On the other side, it leads to Bridge Street, a local street that ends after a few blocks at Main Street (NJ 29).
