The RFK Bridge has three legs, the first of which is a suspension bridge connecting Queens to Randalls Island between exit 45 and exit 46.

Exit 46 is for Manhattan and Randalls Island. Of the two remaining legs of the RFK Bridge, one is accessed through this exit and the other is straight ahead. Exit here for the FDR Drive, the Harlem River Drive, 2 Avenue, and East 125 Street in Manhattan. Continue straight ahead for the Bruckner Expressway (I-278) and the Major Deegan Expressway (I-87) in the Bronx.
