Love Point Road runs north as a two-lane undivided road. There are uncontrolled intersections at Walker Road, Larch Place, Dixon Drive, and Lots Road.

The speed limit drops to 30 MPH as MD 18 ends. Love Point Road continues as a local street for a short distance further to end at the tip of peninsula. (There are no water views from the road there, only from private property.)
