Welcome to New Jersey! South Pearl Street (NY 304) becomes Kinderkamack Road at the state line and runs south through Montvale as a two-lane undivided road.

Kinderkamack Road becomes a northbound one-way street for a short distance. Southbound traffic is routed along Railroad Avenue and Park Street. In this area, there is a railroad crossing and a traffic light at East Grand Avenue (CR 2).

Kinderkamack Road widens to four lanes and intersects Main Street at a traffic light. Turn left onto Main Street to stay on CR 503. There is also access to the NJ 4 freeway. For a westbound entrance, turn right onto Main Street. For an eastbound entrance, continue straight ahead.

Skipping a few miles to the south, Liberty Street runs through Little Ferry as a two-lane undivided road. There is a traffic light at Washington Avenue.

CR 503 ends here at NJ 120. Continue straight ahead to go south. There is an exit for Paterson Plank Road (NJ 120) north, although there is no signage for this exit, making easy to get lost here.
