White Plains Road, Tarrytown Road, Main Street, Hamilton Avenue
Eastbound Views
White Plains Road begins at Broadway (US 9) in Tarrytown and runs east as a four-lane undivided road. Immediately, there is an entrance to the New York Thruway (I-87/I-287) northbound on the right. This is the northernmost interchange before the Tappan Zee Bridge, so motorists getting onto the Thruway here must pay a toll to come back.

Skipping east to White Plains, Tarrytown Road splits into a pair of one-way streets. Eastbound traffic follows Main Street, while westbound traffic follows Hamilton Avenue. An overpass carries the Harlem Line of the Metro-North Railroad over the roadway.

Main Street runs east through White Plains. There are traffic lights at Bank Street, South Lexington Avenue, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Court Street, Mamaroneck Avenue, Church Street, and E.J. Conroy Drive. Mamaroneck Avenue has no numerical designation here, but it becomes NY 125 a few blocks south of here at East Post Road (NY 22).
