CR 30 is a short east/west route in Pearl River. It begins at the state line, where Summit Avenue becomes Old Pascack Road as it enters New York from New Jersey. After a short distance, Old Pascack Road splits off to the south, while CR 30 continues east as West Washington Avenue. At NY 304, CR 30 turns south for one block and then east onto Central Avenue, which passes through the downtown area of Pearl River. CR 30 ends at Middletown Road (CR 33), while Central Avenue continues east a short distance further as a local street.

The portion of CR 30 along Central Avenue was originally signed as if it were part of CR 33, even though it has always been officially designated CR 30 in state and county documents. The signage was corrected to show the CR 30 designation by 2024.
