Northbound Views
The Nassau Expressway begins at Beech Street (CR 22) in Atlantic Beach. There is a turnaround before the Atlantic Beach bridge providing access to the area of Atlantic Beach to the west of the expressway.

The Atlantic Beach Bridge is a drawbridge from Atlantic Beach to the Five Towns.

There is a toll for the Atlantic Beach Bridge. This is the only tollbooth in Nassau County.

Immediately after the toll, there is a grade-separated interchange with Seagirt Boulevard. The signage is tiny and does not give the street name, only that this is the exit for the Rockaways and Brooklyn.

The median ends here. The northern tip of the Nassau Expressway is an undivided road that is locally maintained by the Nassau County Department of Public Works. Turn right at the traffic light for Bay Boulevard (CR 2A), which becomes Peninsula Boulevard (CR 2) one block east of here.

This section of the Nassau Expressway ends here at a traffic light at Rockaway Turnpike (CR 257). Turn left to go north or right to go south. To access the other section, turn left and proceed northwest into Queens.
