Exit 17 is for Chatsworth Avenue. All motorists must pay a toll at this point. There is a cashless tolling gantry just past the exit, as well as a second gantry on the exit ramp.

There is small bridge across the Byram River to Connecticut. The New England Thruway ends at the state line. I-95 continues into Connecticut as the Connecticut Turnpike. There is advance signage for the first exit in Connecticut before the bridge.
