The ramp from exit 8A to Cranbury-South River Road (CR 535) ends at a traffic light. Turn right to north. Turn left to go south toward Forsgate Drive (NJ 32), which in turn leads to US 130.

The ramp for exit 10 splits four times after the tollbooth. Bear right at the first split for Woodbridge Avenue (CR 514) west. Bear right at the second split for the Outerbridge Crossing (NJ 400) north. Bear right at the third split for Woodbridge Avenue (CR 514) east. Bear right at the fourth split for I-287 north. Bear left all four times to get back on the turnpike.

The ramp for exit 14 and exits 14A-C splits. Bear right for exit 14, which is for I-78 west, US 1/US 9, and US 22. Bear left to go east on I-78, which beginning here is the Newark Bay Extension of turnpike. Exits 14A-C are exits from the turnpike extension, which is a bit confusing, but this is New Jersey.

Vehicles entering the turnpike southbound from I-78 pass through this ramp, which splits. Bear left for the car lanes or right for the truck lanes. There is no tollbooth along the ramp because I-78 becomes the Newark Bay Extension of the turnpike at the point where it crosses the mainline, so all motorists must get a ticket at a tollbooth at on I-78 in order to reach this ramp.

The ramp for exit 16W splits after the tollbooth. Use the left lanes for the Meadowlands Complex. Use the center lanes for NJ 3 west toward NJ 17. Use the right lane for NJ 3 east toward NJ 120 and American Dream.

A long ramp extends from the northbound New Jersey Turnpike to the beginning of the Bergen-Passaic Expressway (I-80). At the end, the ramp splits. Bear left for the express lanes or right for the local lanes.

Bearing right for the local lanes where the turnpike splits when travelling south leads to this ramp. There is an entrance to the local lanes of the turnpike on the left. Continue straight ahead using either lane for exit 72A, which is for NJ 4 west.

There is a bus stop along the ramp for exit 73 when travelling north. Bear right after the bus stop for Lemoine Avenue (NJ 67). Bear left for the George Washington Bridge.

The ramp for exit 73-74 when coming from the lower level of the George Washington Bridge merges into Bridge Plaza North. The roadway then splits. Bear right for Fletcher Avenue (US 9W) north and the Palisades Parkway (NJ 445). Continue straight ahead for NJ 4 west. Bear left to get back on the turnpike south.
